The Pull Up's purpose is to gain a union of support, where individuals can come together to help each other deal with our day-to-day adversities in life while living with sickle cell disease. They also want to raise awareness by coming up with different health strategies to educate the community and other healthcare professionals. The group promotes self-advocacy and builds a system of support, resources, and education for the community to provide quality care and empower the youth to take control of their health.
