Standard of Care Guidelines for Patients with Sickle Cell Disease

The Standard of Care Guidelines for Patients with Sickle Cell Disease is reviewed regularly and updated by the sickle cell team at the University of California, San Francisco Sickle Cell Center of Excellence (UCSF SCCoE). These guidelines represent the extensive research and literature review conducted by the team but do not serve as a UCSF policy statement.

The UCSF SCCoE team members meet bi-annually. Changes to these guidelines are made through a consensus process at the bi-annual meetings and the updated version is released to the public.

We encourage suggestions and recommendations to these guidelines. Any suggestions or questions about the guidelines should be submitted to: [email protected]
